The Students Union Government (SUG) of the University of Jos has elected new executives to lead the affairs of the Union for the 2020/2021 academic year.

According to the official election results signed by Dr. Chris Piwunna, the Dean of Students’ Affairs and the Electoral Committee Chairman and other members of the committee, the election that took place on Friday across the faculties saw the victory of Longmun Dakon (Troy), a 500 Level student of Medicine & Surgery as President.

Even though there was a better turn out than last year and new election guidelines, the election was free of violence at all the polling units.
