MUSIC LOVERS!! Do You Think Music Video Directors Deserve Recognition/ Award?

In the recent Sound City MVP award nominations, the video category was met with controversy as the list of nominees featured the artist names and pictures instead of the video directors.

This decision did not sit well with ace video director TG Omori, who took to his Instagram account to voice his disappointment and demand for recognition.

TG Omori, who has directed videos for some of the biggest names in the music industry, called out Sound City for their disrespectful oversight and urged them to correct the mistake. He emphasized that video directors deserve to be given their due credit in the only category they are eligible for nomination.

MY OPINION:- The music industry is a collaborative effort, and everyone involved in the process should be recognized for their contributions. As a TV station whose primary content revolves around music videos, Sound City has a responsibility to acknowledge and credit the hard work and creativity of video directors. These individuals play a crucial role in bringing the music to life and creating visually striking and impactful videos. Without them, the music industry would not be as dynamic and engaging as it is today.

In Conclusion:- The role of video directors in the music industry should not be underestimated or overlooked. We must continue to push for proper recognition and acknowledgement of their contributions to the industry. Sound City should take note of this and correct the oversight in the nomination list for the 2023 Sound City MVP awards. Let’s give credit where credit is due.
