Wizkid’s “Made in Lagos” Album has set a new milestone in America after selling 500k units in music’s biggest market.

The album was released in 2020 and was greatly accepted all over the world; people loved it far and near and made sure it becamse the biggest African album.

He featured artistes like Burna BoyTems (who also broke into a wider audience reach from this), HERElla Mai and others.

Essence” a song on the album also became the highest-charting single on the Billboard Hot 100 by an African act peaking at number eleven on Billboard Hot 100.

It also became the first African album on the Spotify Global Album chart, positioning itself among the top ten songs on that chart.

The album gained and even superseded 100 million streams across five platforms nine days after release, a rare milestone for Afro-pop artiste.

In a tweet by Chart data, “Made in Lagos” has sold over 500,000 copies in the US, and that milestone is Wizkid‘s first ever.
