The rainstorm that ravaged Manguna District in Bokkos LGA of Plateau State has pulled down several individual houses , churches , school , court as well as farmlands measuring hundreds of hectares were submerged .
Considering the magnitude of the disaster , the APC Senatorial Candidate for Plateau Central Hon. Diket Plang , visited the area to sympathised with victims and the local government over the incident , urging them to take it as an act of God .
The Candidate while sympathising with the people of the area today , appealed for the support of the Federal Government and other relevant agencies to the victims .
Hon. Diket Plang, still reaffirmed his readiness of fulfilling his campaign promises for the benefit of both people of the area and the zone in general , if elected in 2023 general elections .
Earlier , the Senatorial Candidate commended the Council Chairman for his timely response to his people who are in dire need of government assistance saying that the situation really needs a prompt emergency response .
Responding on behalf of the victims , the Council Chairman Hon. Joseph Guluwa and the District Head of Manguna Saf Raymond , in their separate remarks expressed gratitude to hon.Diket Plang for his prompt visit and noted that the visit has brought a lot of relief to the victims .
Hon. Diket Plang was also at the residence of Late Kaka Rifkatu Ungar Makut of Bokkos LGA , for a condolence visit to her family members .
While speaking during the visit , he encouraged the family members to take solace in the fact that every mortal must taste death .
Late Kaka Rifkatu Ungar died on the 10 July , and was buried on 13 July , 2022, at the aged of 91 .
To that end , responding on behalf of the deceased family , Comrade Alfred Makut Mashat , thanked Hon. Diket Plang for his concern and love to the family .
