The Captain of ‘In God we Trust’ political movement in PKK, and member representing the constituency at the National Assembly, Rt Hon. Yusuf Adamu Gagdi, returned to Jos on Friday, after weeks long medical vacation, to a myriad of activities in continuation of his political engagements with youth and elders from his constituency; even as he bagged two awards as Youth Peace Ambassador by the Commander of Operation Safe Haven, Major General I. Ali, who doubles as the GOC of the 3 Armoured Division of the Nigerian Army, and another by First Samaritan Love Foundation.
Gagdi kicked the ball in commencement of Peace and Unity Tournament, organized by Operation Safe Haven in a match between Barkin Ladi and Zangon-Kataf Local Government Areas on Saturday.
These were followed by a robust engagement with some youths of PKK at the headquarters of Gagdi Support Foundation in Jos, where pertinent issues bothering on the progress and development of PKK took center stage of discussion.
Similarly, a consultation visit was undertaken by the lawmaker to Elder Gujor, Prof Sale Mohammed Kanam and other stakeholders residences in Jos to discuss issues relating to the development of PKK.
The workaholic lawmaker bills to visit FCE Pankshin on Monday, 1st August, 2022 to present official gazette establishing the Federal University of Education Pankshin from the former FCE Pankshin, with a copy of the letter from the National Assembly to the Federal Ministry Of Education, mandating the ministry to commence process of the transmutation of the college to a full fledged Federal University of Education.
This is to mark the formal process of injecting live to the Federal University of Education Pankshin Establishment Act, that was recently assented to by President Buhari, and to put paid to the lawmaker’s pledge to ensure commencement of activities in the institution as a full fledged federal university before the end of his tenure in June, 2023.
Consultation with various strata of youth and elders of PKK with regards to a planned mega empowerment by the lawmaker, billed to take place early September will form the crux of Gagdi’s constituency activities for the month of August, with visits to the various project sites in the constituency, as the harbinger for their formal commissioning and presentation to the benefitting communities.
