Atiku & Campaign Team shuts out Journalists during Visit to Jos Plateau, Security Detail Allegedly threatened to shoot Journalists

A Drama played out on Monday at the People Democratic Party ,PDP, Plateau Secretariat as journalists accused the former Vice President Atiku Abubakar of unleashing his political anger on them as his security detail, allegedly threatened to shoot journalists covering his meeting with delegates, if they refuse to leave.

During the forceful eviction, it was gathered that items belonging to journalists were destroyed, they items destroyed include cameras and telephones.

The overzealous security personnel cocked his gun ready to shot any media that attempted to resist the forceful eviction from the venue.

It was gathered that Atiku Abubakar and his campaign team, which include Raymond Dokpesi and Hon Abdul Ningi were ushered into the PDP hall where reporters were waiting to welcome him and his team

As soon as they entered there was harassment and intimidation by the PDP Presidential aspirant who it gathered allegedly threatened every journalist which pushed them to scamper for safety and escape from the hall.

However, some electronic gadgets were damaged as a result of forceful eviction from the covering of his campaign visit.

The Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ, led by Mr Peter Amine appealed to his colleagues to vacate the venue and PDP Secretariat to avoid colossal loss of lives.

The journalists who were at the PDP Secretariat at about 11 am, ended with a total disgrace and harassment from the PDP thugs who were shouting we donโ€™t want your coverage we are after delegates.

According to the thugs, we are here to welcome our delegates not you the media go, they chanting and shouting.
